If Ciri looks older, it's because she is. The actress is about 2 years older now. Although in the first few episodes she may only be a year older (about 18, S1 she was like 16-17)

I like what this did for geralt and ciri's relationship. She just meet this man so we really can't expect her to fully trust him. All she was told was to find him. This made her doubt him and to build trust between the two.

to lupa's point, everything is wooded in this time. not the whole world is paved with roads let alone all routes to cities in this world. also to another of lupa's points: traveling on roads leaves you a sitting target vs in the woods you have trees and bushes to cover you

Book spoiler!! Don’t know if this is the way they’re go with the show but yes, the comment about Vilg that you mentioned in the beginning is accurate. At one point he takes on three people, one’s a master mage, one’s a peerless swords man and one’s a higher vamp, the deadliest monster in the Witcherverse, and vilgefortz beats them all in about 15 min. So unless the show is really fuckin up his character ya he’s waiting for the right time

the actress who played Ciri said she didn't want her eyebrows to fall out from being bleached all the time and refused to keep doing it. That's a big reason why she looks so different. It looked mad weird before anyway.

Vilgefortz is a beast, you see he is basically double-speccing in Warrior and Sorcerer builds. He's even talented af even by Sorcerer standards, so think of a Witcher but actually even more souped up due to shit like physical enhancement spells + teleporting, time stop and whatever spells have you, and the physique of someone who is a melee fighter. Like if any Sorcerer can survive a 1vX fight, it's him or nobody Also a Bruxa is categorized as a Lesser Vampire, although they are borderline almost Higher Vampires (i.e have Sapience unlike most Lesser Vampires that are more like the animal equivalents of whatever world the Higher Vampires came from during the Conjunction, becoming trapped in this shitty world. Well some of them anyway, the Conjunction only takes some ppl from the OG worlds, whoever just happens to be next to RNG Dimensional Holes in the fabric of reality, and thus falls through them into random planets not unlike what happened in Thor the Dark World rly, visually speaking), but not quite qualifying as Higher Vampires due to sheer power differences when compared to Higher Vampires, but some Higher Vampires do actually take Bruxas occasionally as lovers of sorts, depending on the individual personality of said Higher Vampire (some are more antisocial than others, like w/ Humans rly. Higher Vampires are basically the Humans of w/e shithole of a Death World they came from, that would have required any thing living on it to evolve a Ultraspeed Regeneration factor just to not die from corrosive atmosphere or other various shit that might instakill you just by existing. I assume plants also have ultraspeed regen there as well, just like Lesser Vampires which are basically the shithole world's equivalent to animals. I guess Bruxas might be like Apes that are sapient enough to be able to actually talk, unlike our IRL Apes?)

This is a weird request but I think it would be interesting for you guys to react to the witcher 3 wild hunt sword of destiny trailer after you finish season 2. it would be cool to see all of your reactions to it after having context from the show but not from any of the games or books

Sadly, all the budget went into making S2 look leagues better than S1, and not the script imo :( . It's still a fun ride since you guys don't really have exposure to the source material, so hope you guys enjoy. Lupa might be a bit confused with how some characters act since it seems he played like a bit of TW3 and has some preconception about them. Anyways, ep1 was great though.

Something a lot of people don't notice. Witcher medallions are dimeritium (like Yennefer's shackles) and thus react to magic. You can see Geralt grab it during the throwing knife game.
