Remember in episode 1 when Peacemaker said that they were terrible with mission codenames and suggested that "project butterfly" was them having to take down a Mothra? And now it the final episode they are going after a giant female insect. I also remember him wanting a jetpack and someone happen to be flying around in this episode... just a theory.

Love the show but it’s kinda lackluster that Gunn went with alien world domination twice in a row in the DCEU with Starro and the butterflies. Like we get it, you liked the Faculty. And he steadfastly defends it being canon to the overarching story of the DCEU(which is what 🤷🏾‍♂️) but no mentions of the task force’s last resort to call in the justice league who just stopped a parademon invasion and brought Superman back to life (just jokes about his poop fetish and Aquaman fucking fish). Strange a story about aliens taking over the world seems too self-contained to be in a big superhero universe.

Vigilante doesn't pause the movie lmao. The movie ends with the main characters cornered in a building, who then run out the front duel wielding guns firing off shots. The movie freezes and fades to credits as we hear a shit ton of other guns .
