I love how he has a bone to pick with Daki lol. He can be on his white knight shit like Tanjiro when he wants to. He told Daki "You need to apologize to that little girl". And I knew that this episode was going to end on some bullshit lol. I'm so excited for the continuation of this fight!

Ufotable got that BUDGET after the Mugen train movie 😂 each fight scene looks straight out of a movie! Also, Gyomei and Muichiro are definitely the strongest hashiras that Uzui pointed out. Rengoku is up there too but he's more so a good role model that Uzui and other hashiras really looked up to 😔

You know, besides Gyomei I've never put too much thought into how strong the Hashira are. I feel like the breathing techniques are so different that it would be difficult to compare them, especially since physical strength doesn't equal deadliness i.e Shinobu is crazy deadly but physically weak. I think Uzui Tengen might be at the midpoint, after Gyomei, Rengoku, Sanemi, mist boy, and Giyuu.

I think it’s more abilities in a broad sense. Tengen thinks of Rengoku when he reflected on how many people he’s failed to save. Rengoku managing to protect all those people on mugen train clearly resonated with tengen Especially with what he’s says after Rengoku died “even Rengoku couldn’t take down an upper moon” Tengen clearly thinks very highly of rengokus overall abilities

Tokito ain’t the strongest, he was commenting on his natural talent being what makes him a monster, the fact that he can become strong so easily is why tengen considers him a monster, but that doesn’t automatically mean he’s above his peers

I am so glad they didn’t take the route most anime take when mangas have multiple fights at once and we see literally one fight at a time across 20 eps. Having it all happening at once really emphasizes the danger and challenge of this fight. It also kinda makes me want to reread the manga just to see all the small details added or removed just to compare the epicness

Gyomei is the strongest hashira he was always stronger than rengoku. But rengoku is still very strong it’s just that Akaza was literally the worst matchup for him, most of the other upper rank demons would fall to him

I've seen other people comment in other places, that Zenitsu acts cowardly because he sees himself in reality as weak and helpless, but in his dreams he sees himself as a strong person just like he wants to be, as we've seen in some older episodes. In his dreams his the strongest and coolest capable of protecting anyone. On the sleep part, nice theory but we've seen him pass out from fear 2x times before and this time he was already asleep inside the cloth.

(Spoilers if you havent seen mugen train movie: when the crows are telling the hashira that Rengoku died, Uzui commented that "even an upper rank demon can defeat Rengoku", which I think implies that he's one of the stronger ones, and Obanai also commented that he couldn't believe it)
