Every scene you see Geralt in this season. It's all before Cirilla story and the attack on Cintra. Just know Geralt and also Yennefer is before and Cirilla is current. It will all start making more sense down the line.

Please watch the Witcher Nightmare of the Wolf animated movie on netflix as well. I recommend watching it between season 1 and 2 as if provides some cool background on one of the characters in season 2. Also its an incredible movie on its own merits

I just realized while watching this episode, it’s Geralt’s fault that Cintra got attacked. Since what happened to him was before the attack of Cintra, he was the one that gave filafandral the idea to back and regroup in order to become stronger and attack the humans. I don’t think this is a spoiler cause you guys know that that was before the attack.

The timelines are running like this Yennefer>Geralt>Ciri. The most current timeline is Ciri's, however all of the information in Geralt and Yennefer's timeline is also important. As the show goes on it'll start to make more sense. :)

I'm 50/50 on the timeline spoilers. Personally I like the disjointed timeline, for the most part its a fun and effective way to structure and condense multiple story beats that span over a long period of time. However, I feel for most people, nonlinear narrative are more trouble than they are worth, and it might even put them off from the show if it's not explained beforehand. Anyway, they already know, not much that can be done at this point.

More like Sapkowski never really put much thought into it (and a few other things honestly), but considering the story is taking place in a post-apocalyptical distant future, the choice feels appropriate. It's funny that out of all the things to get mad at this adaptation for, this is what gets some people heated.

Timeline hint in episode 2 : In Ciri’s scenes Filavandrel just led an uprising to *claim* Cintran land. In Geralt’s scenes Filavandrel has just been *forced out* of another land.

I haven't finished watching the episode yet, but I have to say that I am proud of Roshi. He has been coming through clutch with picking up things in shows in recent times (not just with this show but other shows as well), like when Yennifer tried to eat the flower to cast the spell and Roshi remembered it was from when she saw that other dude eat one before opening a portal. Sheera meanwhile COMPLETELY getting clapped, almost gibberish comments since they make no sense, and looking at a creature with HORNS and calling it an Elf; Jesus, RIP Sheera's Brain. Again, I have to say I am happy to see Roshi picking up the slack cause the other two seem to be done. It will suck if nobody makes connections and remembers what is going on in the shows. Sheera used to be clutch with the emotions and making connections, hope to see her get back with it. (Definitely not the mindless "predictions" and dick jokes, but actual, thoughtful inputs and reactions, Lol.) Also, my man Lupa out here spoiling and "explaining" things not even in the show yet, but not understanding 4 Marks is LESS than 10 Marks. He even acknowledged that the pig was 10 Marks then probably completely zoned out when Yennifer's Dad sold her for 4 Marks...
