lol getting locked in the storage closet with your crush is like a trope that happens in a lot of romance anime. That's why Kaguya and Shirogane believed that each other locked them in on purpose. It was kind of like a "no way this cliche would actually happen by coincidence" type of situation.

Looked up why Ryuji calls his mom by her first name. This is the answer I've found: If I remember correctly, it is because she is always at work. Yasuko undoubtedly loves Ryuji, but she doesn't act like a mom. It got to the point that Ryuji just can't call her that. Ryuuji's mom had him when she was 16 yrs old after getting pregnant by an old yakuza guy. Perhaps to preserve her youth or to make sure she keeps her job of working at a hostess bar (which normally relies on the woman being young, single, pretty, and childless), it was best that Ryuuji called her by her name in case they were public and could brush it off as her being out with her younger sibling rather than son.
