would you have been willing to revive the head & ultimately the person who almost killed your love interest and was personally responsible for killing Kamina, your parents and hundreds of thousands of other people? Resurrecting the Spiral King's head essentially saved them, but I can see why Simon and most of the others would object to reviving him, even if its just the head without the personality. Some things he just had to do behind the scene.
