It is the truth yet people are snowflakes and all pissy in their panties about it. I really like sheera and all 3 of them in fact but I don't look over the little frustrations I have with them.

It’s insane how memorable the games that had nothing to do with Arisu in the manga were. I have terrible memory for all the manga I’ve read through including most other death games but *minor spoilers* I remember the King of Diamonds game step by step. The games in the series just get better and better.

Yeah if Arisu was in good shape and not shaken up by seeing a group of three just like his he probably would have put it together. Imo the BIGGEST giveaway wasn’t the distance meter, which was ambiguous until solved, but the card difficulty. It doesn’t make sense for a non-spades game to require a whole marathon, especially one that’s just a 4.

Yea because the game literally said the wolf will only win. The game was really explained well. If friends play, the wolf will have a hard time finding them, if strangers play, they play the other way around. Lambs will kill wolf in order to survive. Until there is only one wolf alive.

I get what you saying Lupa. You saying if they was playing with strangers, people may have instinctively ran before really grasping the point of the game. Hearts aren’t a game of betrayal, they’re a test of people’s psyche. Betrayal is just a byproduct of them being tested. Also love y’all reactions! Can’t wait for the next episode.

I found this episode really hard to watch when I first watched it, the water and bus physics along with the way the panther acted really bothered me, I had to take a couple weeks break between watching this episode and the next one. The twist though is cool, I think I figured out the twist ahead of time, but its been quite a while since I originally watched the show, so I don't really remember to well.

I understand why lupa is confused but this is my theory, if strangers play the hide and seek game i think they will change the genre into spade and not hearts just my 2cent. Since it will not be a betrayal game with stranger and i believe game master are capable of that

I actually really like this theory, because later in the series with the higher level hearts games, especially the face cards, all seem specifically designed around the players and their circumstances when they start the game. *season 1 spoilers* I know the 10 of hearts is the end of the season(great place the end it lol) and that game was basically laser focused on ripping the beach apart. *minor face card spoilers* the Jack of Hearts wouldn’t be nearly as interesting without the more evil players, and the Queen of Hearts game would literally be the easiest game in the series if it didn’t specifically have the players it did.

I think the whole Hide and Seek game from the previous episode is only designed for a group of friends, the hearts suit is specifically designed for players who have an emotional connection to each other. Once a phone is picked and it scans the players identity it then picks the difficulty level and suit based on who is participating (face recognition). So for example if in the Hide and Seek episode didn't have Arisu and Karube then the game would've been different and not necessarily a hearts game either because Chota and Shibuki didn't really have an emotional relationship other than smashing once, there's no real feelings for each other. Now had it been a group of strangers, the game could've still been Hide and Seek, but instead of it being hearts it would've been spades as that's a physical based game, so the rules could change slightly with the same fundamentals, so for example instead of the sheep hiding (like in the hearts game) the sheep could be instructed to hunt and kill the wolf (in a spades game) in order to become the next wolf and win.

i could be wrong but maybe the point was to get the gas back to the bus from the bikes cuz if the water would have came when the bus wasnt moving they still could have died but also with the gas they could just drive out the tunnel since as long as they were in the bus and didnt leave they would have been fine right?

I knew immediately that the goal was the bus the whole time. I thought that Arisu would pick up on that half way and then a race to the bus. Guess I overestimated Arisu's smarts

I get what Lupa was saying about the hide and seek game. The game was telling the sheep to hide, but that only applies if it's a group of friends. Had they all been strangers, the sheep would not be hiding like the game was telling them to. Maybe the game, suit and difficulty are picked after scanning the players faces, so it knows whether or not they've played games together previously.

Roshi was the biggest clown last game but Lupa, that opening discussion, Jesus man. I don't get why y'all overthink so damn hard and in the process delete the basic information provided by the show, y'all even forget common sense in the process of "overthinking". Lol. I was already getting Re:Zero flashbacks from last episode's reaction where y'all had forgotten lots of basic information about the show, made wild assumption, then taken your own assumptions as fact, and then used what was basically your own bullshit "information" to try to understand what was going on and what might happen in that show. God y'all Re:Zero reactions PTSD, I am still traumatized, lol. To put it VERY simply, it was a TWISTED take on the children's game of "Hide and Seek." It wasn't the rule to hide from the Wolf, that part was the traditional description of the children's game, BUT: The IMPORTANT part was that the one who was the Wolf when time runs out.. wins.... THAT is what flips the whole children game into a Death game where only the "Wolf" gets to live. So, the wolf is the one who needs to hide so he can stay as a wolf when the game ends.
