It makes sense why they made the movie into actual episodes. Not everyone can pay to see it. And for the younger people, it could be tough to convince parents to take them to watch it in theaters, especially nowadays. Though it's still annoying to lose some episodes in the season to retell a story.

The movie is available on both Crunchyroll and Funimation though, and I'm sure it could be pirated pretty easily. I'm not upset, but I do worry about this happening more often going forward.

I planned on doing pretty much the same as y’all just watch the first episode since it’s a anime original, then wait until December to for the entertainment district arc. But then I heard about how they’re adding in a bunch of cut scenes from the movie so I wanna see what they added in and if it builds more depth for an already perfect (to me) movie. It also helps that the movie was great and I’m okay with rewatching it

Hey, at least the new shit kicks in within the year. I think Boruto went like 65 episodes before what was essentially the Boruto movie had been thoroughly rehashed.

I personally think it’s nice to watch both the episodes and the movie. The episodes allow for more time with characters that you just can’t get in a movie The other way around works as well.

That part at the end where they talk about how they feel about Rengoku was actually in the manga. The creator sometimes does a little side note where it shows a picture of a hashira and how all the other hashiras feel about them so that was a cool little addition.

Lupa hella narrow minded here. Why? Because 70 new cuts, new OST, and the new op by LiSA. Anybody who has seen the trailer knows this. It's literally NOT just a copy and paste of the movie, like so many ignorant ppl think (because they don't bother to read). On another note, it's also not actually Season 2. The "Entertainment/Red Light District Arc" is Season 2, and it's two cours. This is a mini-season of only seven episodes, just to whet our appetites.

Why the fuck would they release the movie first lmao this anime will probably be the better version since tanjiro and the others bonded with rengoku with a snap of the finger lol but since we know what'll happen it takes the weight off of rengokus story...

Yeah they released a 2 part Gaiden of Rengoku back in 2020. They also did a 2 parter for Giyu in 2019.

Could you give more specific times that the audio cut out? I don't remember it happening to me at all, unless you're talking about the final rengoku-akaza fight, and there were moments where the music cut out for dramatic reasons, but no straight up audio fully cutting out.

Rengoku’s death was painful asf and I never stopped thinking about it. I didn’t think they would make a movie about it but I’m glad they did because he was a great character and not at all like the other pillars. He embodied what a pillar should be and it was a bittersweet ending for him, more bitter than sweet. After finishing the manga, I felt numb. My emotions were depleted and I was mentally exhausted. I regret it so if you want to read the manga, don’t do it. Save your mental well-being for the anime instead.

I'm a little bit concerned about the total number of episodes for season 2. The first season with 26 episodes covers from chap 1 to chap 53 (a little bit of chap 54), but the events after Mugen Train to the conclusion of Red Light District arc which cover roughly 34 chapters (from chap 66 to 100) only have 11 episodes in season 2. I mean it will be amazing any way, but I hope that they will not rush or leave out any details in the manga, cuz that's one of the main reasons I like Demon Slayer anime.

Contrary to popular belief among those taught by idiots who really need to stop spreading that, you are NOT supposed to cook with gloves on. That does WAY more harm than good. Which is to say, it does no good to begin with. What you ARE supposed to do is wash your hands regularly. Therein lies the main harm wearing gloves causes: it causes people to use them as a substitute for handwashing... and I can pretty much guarantee you didn't wash those gloves right before putting them on. People in general have some nonsensical ideas on what's somehow *inherently* dirty or clean. Everything's dirty until it's cleaned, and then it quickly becomes dirty again whether you like it or not. But hey, all of that is just a series of understandable misconceptions. It's not like it's *completely* irrational, like some things like people drinking through a straw for the sole reason that the glass might be dirty so you don't want to put your mouth on it. Um, what do you think the liquid entering your mouth is touching the entire time before you draw it into the straw? Is liquid somehow immune to whatever it is you're afraid of getting in your mouth? So yeah, relatively speaking, the aversion to seeing people prepare food with their bare hands is at least understandable.

yeah im definitely not interested in watching mugen train twice. Ufotable is great but why make a movie to codense a short arc then make a show recapping the movie into a season. they should have just made the season and not the movie to begin with.

So it's obviously been a long while since this was posted, and I don't know if anyone will see this (especially Roshi/Lupa/Sheera) BUT one of the most powerful things you get from outside material is learning why Rengoku says DELICIOUS! after every bite. It comes from a samurai tradition to treat and enjoy every meal as your last, because you could very well die in battle at anytime. Rengoku, being a person of blazing passion takes it to the extreme enjoying every BITE as if it could be his last, prepared to die in battle at anytime. You're introduced to Rengoku both here, and in the movie, with him enjoying what he's prepared to have be his last meal. Shouting UMAI! (DELICIOUS!) after every bite. Enjoy that little tidbit
