Definitely one of my favourite episodes in the entire show. Really cemented Gahara as best girl for me (well, best girl right after a certain con-artist)

I think this will always remain my favorite episode in the entire show. Just absolutely perfectly executed and it’s the episode that permanently solidified Senjougahara as best girl to me.

The significance of the "everything" line from Araragi comes from the fact that Senjougahara told Araragi about "everything" she had to offer him leading up to her question at the end, studying with him, her cute Junior, her father etc, and Araragi loves all of it.

I haven't gotten to the episode yet, but if you're continuing the series, I would recommend watching the Kizumonogatari films next, as the story was released after Bakemonogatari, so you'll be following the "original" order (so to speak).

Dang, I was hoping they'd finally listen to the ED this episode since it plays over the credits. It uses the verses of "Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari" that specifically fit the end scene of this episode.

I haven't seen today's reactions yet, but hopefully they know this isn't the end of Bakemonogatari and there are more episodes left that are unavailable in some sites. They shouldn't move to Kizu yet. Also, it's a shame that they don't read the lyrics for the songs in the openings/endings, they express so much about the characters.

If you were confused about forehead and skirt last episode, she dodged his hand trying to lift her bangs, but showed no response to his hand lifting her skirt. What do bangs do? It covers her face (eyes).

There's 3 things I want to say after watching your reaction to this 4 episodes. 1st: it's not about different culture and shit, they not sexualize kids (at least in monogatari), it's just that Araragi is pervert (cuz he's teen and virgin) AND narrator of the story so most of the things he does with girls seems horny and perverted (he sees it that way). In some segments, where he isn't narrator, there's no horny shit. 2nd: stepdad hit Hanekawa on Golden Week, which occured before events of bakemonogatari, not in the time of it (thought you misunderstud that, sry if you not). 3rd: Great reactions and congrats on getting this far, waiting for you to finish bake and see the rest of monogatari series cuz after bakemonogatari shit's about to be even better

This was where the original TV run ended, due to anime seasons being 12-13 episodes (plus, they were SUPER behind on production, so the last three episodes weren't even finished). They ended up having to release the last three online as they finished them. So for the final three, we had to wait like 5 months between each episode. The entire Monogatari franchise had a troubled production, to put it mildly. Movies getting delayed 5 years, clip episodes to fill time, half-finished animation, SHAFT's post-Madoka obsession with shoehorning a ClarIs song into every series, new series dropping seemingly at random. It's one of the most stressful anime to have followed from the beginning.

Well, for Kizu they had trouble airing because of censorship issues, as well -- finding which timeframe and station to broadcast it from. If you haven't already seen it before, you would kind of be able to understand which 'part' is kind of iffy. In reality, it was actually suppose to come out directly after Bake.

God, I LIVE for these Senjougahara x Araragi romance episodes. They are few and precious in this series, and each one is better than the last. One of the most compelling romances of any anime I've seen, and I grew up on shows like Clannad and Toradora!

Hearing the Hanekawa OP and Senjougahara OP back-to-back was giving me Vivy vibes. I looked it up and it turns out the music for both shows was composed by the same guy, Satoru Kōsaki. Also, if you haven't already recorded it, episode 14 has a different version of the Hanekawa OP that you should react to. It's the same song, but with new animation instead of the live-action cosplay photos.

This is simply one of the best anime episodes I've ever watched. No complicated stuff happening, no over the top animation, and no extra shit. Just two people talking with the dialogue between them flowing so naturally. I don't think they've reached this same of intimacy with the succeeding episodes but they more than made up for it with other equally great stuff.

personally hanekawa is best girl by far but I do love the wholesome relationship between these 2. You can appreciate the effort Senjou puts in to overcome her past trauma and general issues and puts extra effort into their relationship.
