I LOVED this reaction. Everything you said is correct and i cant but like how down to earth you are. Later episodes will explain a lot of whats going on and if you will enjoy the whole thing I HIGHLY recommend you rewatch it on your own at some point as it makes a whole new experience to see whats going on while you know what future episodes explain.

people sometimes consider nisioisn like shakespeare of LNs for this series because the writing itself, if you ever read the books, is honestly on another level with wordplay, symbolism, and other literary devices you don't really see in LNs... but it's also true because nisioisn is a fiend

Yeah, this arc absolutely isn't the author's best. The dilemma wasn't very interesting and Nadeko was boring as shit. I think even Nisio knew it was subpar, since it feels like he goes way out of his way to redeem himself for it later.

One thing I'd like to point out about this show is that (at least so far) it's been from Araragi's perspective. This meaning that a lot of the shots we see are literally his POV. This next bit is just my guess, but the shots where we see him blink and there's a camera lens sound effect are referencing this fact. Araragi is literally the lens through which we are viewing this story, to everything is tinted in his own unique perspective.

this is true MINOR SPOILER FOR KIZUMONOGATARI (read at your own risk but its nothing major) in Kizumonogatari Hanekawa's breasts are alot larger compared to Bakemonogatari, the reason for this is because its from Araragi's POV and at the time he was mad horny and found Hanekawa (specifically her breasts) really attractive so they are exaggerated

The monogatari series is maybe my all time favorite series, but I'm 100% with you guys that the sexualization of some of the characters is incredibly off putting ( even though they also subvert and comment on some of the Loli tropes). Also get prepared for it to get worse on occasion! But even with that complaint the monogatari series fuckin rules

Being uncomfortable during some scenes is more than a valid opinion and there is no denying that. Now not to spoil anything but i dont really agree with "it gets worse" as most if not all things that will happen have an explanation. Granted, some stuff will still be weird but i think its really well done actually.
