This Hector abuse is weird as fuck, seems like some gratuitous female on male violence for the hell of it... It doesn't even make sense plot-wise, why are they suddenly being that cruel to him when Carmilla knew how important he was. He was already pretty much ready to raise a whole army for her but they kept torturing him for literally no reason and now they have to do damage control to gain his favor again to help them? Literally makes zero sense other than being gratuitous female on male violence.

rewatching this after watching season 4, Lenore is virtually a different character. She starts waffling about not being weak and then in the final season she just ends up doing nothing, getting captured, and then killing herself. Makes no sense given this setup.

@Aye Jaye its not a fake Jamaican accent. its a Caribbean pirate accent which is a mix of different accents. This man is on the sea constantly and is around foreigners 24/7. Also not everyone in Jamaica has the same accent. Them complaining about it was valid but after 10 times in the same 5 minutes some people might be like "ok we get it"

So I didn't think much of it while I was watching the show, until you guys brought up the accent. Is it supposed to be Jamaican? Historically speaking, this is around 10-15 years before Columbus was getting to the Americas (if I'm not mistaken). I had figured it was some sort of Mediterranean hodgepodge type accent, given that this is in eastern/central Europe. That all being said though, I've only had a few interactions with people with Jamaican accents, so I honestly couldn't even tell if it was trying to be that lol.
