If I’m counting the years correctly, 40 years should have passed since the Metal Float incident. It was stated in this episode that Vivy’s now 61 and the events of the last episode happened when she was 21. The “12 years”-thing is how long the Zodiac event has happened, not how much time has passed in the show since the last episode. Somebody correct me if I’m wrong please.

You actually did the math right. She was 1 during the first incident, after that 15 years passed and she was 16 during the hotel incident, after that 5 years passed and she was 21 during the Metal Float incident. Since she's 61 now then like you said 40 years passed since Metal Float.
