LOL yeah. I do kinda like that the movie explains it well enough. Goro went up against basically the worst opponent for him since Goro's all 'smash' and once Cole got his Kinetic Absorbing power the fight was over. Like Fire type Pokemon vs Water. Which makes sense later why Cole's getting Rock'ed by Sub Zero since his powers are Ice and not Kinetic/Punching + Sub Zero just being a badass in general.

just got back from the theater, this movie is a lot of fun! For what they had and what WB made them to do, they did a pretty decent job. It's for sure getting its moneys worth for the sequel so i wonder who they gonna cast for Johnny Cage. And thank the lord this didn't become a MK: Annihilation experience cuz nothing can be worse than that piece of trash. Def gonna get more of the game stuff in the sequel than OG stuff now. BUT considering how MK 11 ended, i wouldn't even be shocked this was another timeline shenanigan

One last thing tho, since Quan Chi still a factor, im pretty positive none of the Outworld fighters are gonna stay dead. He's just gonna resurrect them like he's always done. Cuz it was a smart move to base the movie BEFORE the whole tournament, cuz anything could necessarily go and this series could easily be retconned in the next film so im not too worried about the stuff that happened in this one.

It story obviously wasn’t good I just had a feeling. The fight were dope but some of them seemed like they just couldn’t actually fight. It would have been better legit if they just chose to adapt the original MK story line. Now Kung Lao is dead (who is my favorite mk character btw) I just see him as wasted potential. Kano was the highlight of this movie for sure.

The fights were ok, it was ruined by all the unnecessary cuts. Scorpion & Sub zero’s actors are incredible martial artists & all the edits took away from from all the effort they put into the fight

Lupa is the exact kinda people they make these movies for. I can tell Roshi was trying to force himself to like it but the more he thought about it worse it got. That's pretty much how we all felt too the more I think about the movie the worse my rating gets. Imagine if you take Kano out of the movie how bad it would be. Kano was great, effects great, a lot of the choreography great, but man did it have low points. Some of the choreography was downright terrible, the lead felt like a shoehorned in loser, MC sledgehammer looked like his acting inspiration was Sloth from the goonies, they spent all that time hyping up Goro with that pacing only to do him dirty, etc. All in all 5/10, but I'd say that's pretty high for video game movies. KANO WINS

This is basically the group up version to what we loved as kids. We never expected much out of the 90s movie except to show us the things we loved from the games. Back then, they did it in a PG-13 version, which was good enough for us, cuz we were kids. Now, we're adults, and they gave us the adult version of what we wanted on a basic level. So I love this movie, because I only wanted basic things to show me it was Mortal Kombat. Kind of funny how this franchise can get away with that when so many others can't, but it works for them, so kudos. I hope there are multiple sequels because I will be here for it.
