Ive been on a Golden Kamuy binge today!!! This anime is so fucking good that it shouldn't be a sleeper. Maybe if the anime had a great studio it would've skyrocketed. Geno studio still doing great wit Golden Kamuy tho!

The worse part about Ogata is that he didn't do the things he did out of hate but just cause he had no idea of the concept of love to the point where his curiosity of his father's love outweighed his moral compass which led him to kill his mom and brother.

Fun thing to also consider is that many mental diseases like schizophrenia and psychosis have hereditary elements, and since his mother was insane that really does add more to his question of if there really was ever a chance for him to be normal

I think Ogatas back story makes him a more interesting character psychologically and emotionally wait till season 3 you’ll see what I mean lol 🙃
