Honestly I think Knov is just really stressed by the whole situation, ever since he encountered Pouf's En. When a body endures that much stress/anxiety for a long period it can really fuck it up

Yo Roshi! The reason why Knov looks so sickly is because of his encounter with Pouf's En during his recon op. It broke his will and left him so terrified of the King and his royal guard that he's literally aging at an unrealistically fast rate from stress. This is a real life phenomenon (not to this extreme, though)

People gotta start acknowledging that Gon was super lucky Komugi was involved. Pouf and Pitou were both more than enough to kill Gon if it was a fair fight. The 2 royal guards were handicapped cause of some very specific circumtsances.

As some people has already said this is the result of when Knov felt Poufs Nen and it broke his will. The combination of fear, stress, and anxiety has taken a toll on his body and the results are what you are seeing

Who is doubting that? I think it is very obvious that none of the extermination team members stands a chance against any one of the Royal Guard. They were prepared to lose all fights against the Royal Guards just to serve as a distraction as long as Netero somehow manages to take out the King. It's pretty obvious that the only reason Pitou is so scared is because of these particular circumstances where she has to protect Komugi at all cost. We and she knows that she could easily take out Gon at any moment if she gets serious but there is no guarantee that Komugi would survive that clash.

Pitou's En left Knov traumatized. He was using Zetsu so he was unprotected and felt the full intensity of Pitou's En. It broke his will to fight and scarred him mentally. The sudden severe amount of stress is what initially turned his hair white and the extended effect of that traumatic event is what led to Knov's hair falling out. In addition to forcing himself to return to the scene only increased his anxiety. His words to Knuckle and Meleoron "You're strong" are acknowledgment and respect for their courage even against such fierce power of the Royal Guard without being broken.

Knov is suffering from unbelievably extreme stress from his encounter with Pitou's aura. Stress can wreak havoc on your body it its strong enough.

The anime version at least. Hair going grey/white or losing color from stress is more of a longer term transition at best. And it's usually other problems with the body beyond stress that cause it to occur

honestly a little astounded roshi didn't understand what was happening with knov. It should be common sense, people lose their hair in extreme stress. Anime didn't explain it because it didn't think it needed to lol.
