Shado

Yooo buddy really said they thought Ba Sing Se was going to be killed lmaooo

Acetag31

The show copped out by not killing Ozai. Only reason there weren't repercussions is because the writer says so but in reality simply locking him up won't do when he still has influence and followers. Even if he lost his bending Ozai is still a useful tool of war even if it means him being a puppet. Not only that but he could very easily get into Zuko's head and manipulate him. It's proven true since it put a strain in Aang and Zuko's relationship. Sorry but taking him out is the best solution especially when the whole world is at stake. The avatars duty is too the people not to him or herself.

afrocentric distortion

@Acetag31 what do you mean no repercussions, permanently living out a pathetic life without your bending in a jail cell is better justice than him getting to have an undeserving quick death. he deserves to suffer, and killing him quickly wouldn't be enough.

Joshua Burns

YESSS!!!!!! IT BEGINS!!!!!!!

Abel James

Roshi you fucking get it man. Everyone always comes at Aan's neck for being a bitch in this situation.. Aang is a 12 year old monk kid who is trying his best to hold on to his extinct culture. He forming his own ninja way.

Shamar

Finally we get MELON LORD

User100

I'm mad how you called that it's a moving turtle (lion turtle).

Let's GO!!!!! Everyone must regain their Honor!

stallin4 Stalin

i just noticed aang has a scar on his foot too, from when azula hit him with lightning

Mo

Thank you Roshi for understanding where Aang is coming from. He is a different type of Avatar and I love it!

Michael Maglalang

Omggg thanks for giving us these reactions early!!! Can’t wait for Korra!!!

Danny

no joke mark hammills voice is goddam perfect for ozai. sends chills every single time

Akira

omfg thank you for doing it all at once

Ken Dillon

You guys keep bringing up Katara's blood bending ability, but keep overlooking a very important line that Hama said during that episode. Blood Bending can only be done during a full moon, when water benders are at their most powerful. Katara cant just use it whenever she feels, it can only be performed once a month, at night.

Mten10th

So Lupa is just going to call a 12 year old a bitch because he doesn't want to kill somebody? What a clown.

Matthew M

Yes and that episode where she was able to blood bend the leader of the southern raiders happened at night, but it wasn't clear whether it was a full moon night

Mustardy Boi

Actually they showed the Full Moon a couple of times throughout the episode as foreshadowing

Pucki

since you saw all episodes of the last airbender now i can say im pretty sure june is just in that episode because they had her voice actress Jennifer Hale in the Studio for Avatar kyoshi which she voiced too so they thought "we got Jennifer Hale here but just for Kyoshi didnt she had another voice over in this show too?" bam june is back to find the Avatar but she doesnt find him so it was unnecessary and thats what makes me think they just brought her back because they had her voice actress in the studio. Btw Jennifer Hale is a very good voice actress she did so much especially in Video games and Cartoons for example she speaks female Commander Shepard in all 3 Mass Effect titles

The Pebble

A twelve year old with the power to destroy fleets of battleships, lol saying shit without context is pretty clownish too

Mten10th

Still a freaking 12 year old. What context would change that he's 12?

Travis

"plot twist aang is on the back of a big moving turtle" LMAOOOO i choked when u said that

kurumi Tokisaki

Toph had the feels for zuko, but her shot failed :(

iDimentio

just got home from work i waited patiently to watch these comfortably with my bong

iDimentio

that Lion Turtle call out was God Tier.

aSackOfReactions

Ok lets add context. A 12 year old boy who was raised by peaceful monks and has shown to be a kind and forgiving kid throughout the series doesnt want to kill somebody. Wow context really does matter huh?

Jigga Man

Yoshtrodamus over here 😂

Namjin

Lupa is such a dumb Bitch lol he calls Aang a bitch for not wanting to kill Ozai but when he looks like he was going to do it he was like no don’t do that ! Lmao

Christina

Okay so I’ve always wondered: can a waterbender redirect lighting since it’s based off of their technique?? Or can only firebenders control it because lightning has a higher affinity to fire in the first place??

Ntongmo Noubissie

Only firebenders can, as lightning is a subset of firebending, like metalbending is to Earth.

Q155

i had to watch the great divide so many damn times that now i skip over it everytime i rewatch avatar. i havent seen that episode in like 5 years and can still remember it so well.

AK Jay

A lot of reactors say this about Aang, I was surprised when Nahid from the Normies did the same. People forget that the avatar is supposed to be announced at age 16.

amberrr

the technique is of waterbenders, but it is lightning none the less. so it's only to firebenders.

naama

now howd you guess that

Dante

Bruh yes cuz thats all nick wanted to replay. Its so annoying that I can remember that episode in full

CRuEL_WOrlD

Imma be completely honest, aang is prob my least fav avatar just because he is a pacifist nd I totally get y he is the way tht he is being a monk nd all. But to me it always seemed selfish of him for risking everything by not killing someone. I mean dat man has probably killed hundreds if not thousands of innocents but aang just wants to be a Shonen protagonist😑 nd form his own ninja way

Randle Dandle

Well yeah, tbh there has to kind of be a breaking point with pacifism, and I think genocide and the razing of an entire continent is probably pushing well past that breaking point.

Ala’a Atari

This episode always makes me feel for Toph. She's always acting tough, but she's mentally going through so much because of her parents essentially neglecting but also sheltering her all her life. Also, she was only 12 during ATLA, so I believe she was the youngest of them. Of course they were all teens and forget that Toph is only a child whereas they were much older.

Tazzi

Y’all...he’s a 12 year old child being asked to kill one of the scariest people on the planet knowing that he’s the only one that can do it where it’ll end peacefully. Like you’re asking a 12 year old to kill someone on their own.

Benji Schulman

I can't believe ya'll guessed the turtle dang 'xD

Gangsta Penguin

"the phoenix king" is 1/10th as badass as "the dragon of the west"

Dark Danny

i know this is old, but Aang and Toph are the same age if you dont count the 100 years he was frozen

Archduke Earl Von Margrave

they never pointed this out, but wouldn't toph be unable to see in that wooden house since she requires either earth or metal to see vibrations?

Stanley Labissiere

I get you, but if Aang had the normal route of any Avatar, he probably wouldn't have that mentality, as other air nomads were Avatars. HOWEVER, he's the last of his kind (he would be the only one upholding the teachings of his people) and he's 12 years old.

Ryn

Watch Roshi totally calling the lion turtle island xD Good job!

Ryn

She could still feel Aang's footsteps or other movement in the house, and she can hear extremely well. Remember the desert episode, I'm pretty sure the sand sailers are made of wood, and she said, "who buried a boat out here in the desert... trust me I kicked it hard enough to feel plenty of vibrations" This would have to mean that she can still feel vibrations on wood, even though she can't bend it.

CJ Dennis

Zuko says father a lot in this episode lol.

cheezeblade

Old as shit but i always thought that the sand sculptures were gonna be foreshadowing that suuki, Ba sing se and Appa were going to be killed.

Luqman Muhammad

Plus I like aang because what he did at the end is actually alot more fucked up. You're thinking too one dimensional if Ozai did all this bad stuff then he deserves too suffer. What better way to become such a normal man rotting in jail.
