Yo I always hated this episode. I am with Aang 100%. They made them a bunch of cunts this episode. Acting like they were the ones taking "care" of Aang. BITCH Aang the one that saved your asses since the beginning and has constantly done so. YOU THE ONES THAT DECIDED TO COME ALONG! This episode was so stupid to me and still is. Sure they use it as a way to develop his character a little but they wouldn't have even been here if it wasn't for Aang allowing them to ride on his Bison and they even said it at the beginning of the show. Katara wanted to go to the northern water tribe and Aang was willing to take her. That is still their mission as of now. Now all the sudden over some stupid shit they decide to say fuck that (even though they changed their mind) and want to go find their Dad even though they would still be freezing their asses off at the southern shit tribe if it wasn't for my boi. Fuck them and fuck this episode. If I was Aang I would of left immediately after hearing them say it was "their" responsibility to take care of my ass. I went on a rant but this episode has plenty of flaws and stupid dialogue.

I think saka and kataras response to Bato was perfectly normal. Yes ang has done alot for them but they have lived in a small village for years after they mom died and their father left with no contact from him or anyone on his fleet. Them seeing someone they havent seen in years as well as the only person who can give them any kind of update on their father and putting all their energy and focus on them for the moment to me makes complete sense. Ang made a poor decision by attempting to hide the map from them and as they were upset and angry they made the choice to leave him which i also see as a valid response (someone robbing you of the choice to see your only remaining parent that you havent seen since you were a child after they left for war.) I would be pissed to. I dont think anyone was inherently wrong. these are children making rash choices based on their feelings and perceptions
