Wholesome end to a great arc! Completely in shock that this kid Gon scored the highest on the quiz lol. Also, I was a bit confused about Abengane. I think I figured it out but still not sure. I though his Nen Beast devoured the bomb and Genthru's Nen? Why did he still need to tag him and say he caught the bomber? That kinda threw me for a loop so any answers will help haha

The nen beast will not vanish until either Genthru dies or Countdown is deactivated by touching him and saying "I caught the bomber". This was briefly mentioned in the episode where the nen beast was summoned, but it wasn't made out to be a big deal so it's pretty easily forgettable.

Zelsaard

Yeah, you can see the smoke come out from his hood when it disappears in that scene too. Also, as far as I'm aware, he can only have one nen beast at a time, so unless he got rid of that one he can't dispel nen from other people (don't quote me on that though, might be bullshittin').

As to Gon winning - I've always just thought that since it seems like every question is about a different card and there are 100 questions, that since Gon and Killua were the only ones with all 99 cards they would know more than the average player

"Why did he still need to tag him and say he caught the bomber? That kinda threw me for a loop so any answers will help haha" His nen beast basically "defused the bomb" aka it could no longer kill him. However, the nen beast would not disapear until the nen was deactivated. That's why he still had to do the "caught the bomber" part. When he did it, smoke came out of his facemask, showing that his nen beast disapeared into smoke :)

I think it was more to show that Gon and Killua were the only ones who collected a lot of cards while playing the game the way it was intended to be played. Most people who collected a lot of cards fell into the practice of trading card or stealing them so they would have been cleuless on the quiz

Conroy

Exactly, totally agree that's what I was trying to say. They actually went to the trouble to get I think 76? restricted cards on their own, so Gon scoring 87 makes sense. Tsezguerra and Genthru were probably the only ones who had more knowledge of the cards than Killua and Gon

Tyler

"He is a damn Nigg" lmao! I was lowkey waiting to see your reaction to that name because that shit had my dying the first time I saw it

Dylan

I new you were gonna laugh at that Nigg part all of us are so damn immature 😂😂

HowardisBoss

Bro Ging looks just like Yususke from Hakusho. Literal twins.

Still

Yeah he "Caught the bomber" to get rid of the gross nen beast that was with him. The old nen

Every time I see someone watching this series, I just wait for them to make the face at that part. It's one of the under-appreciated gems in the Japanese version, lol.

SoreDakeNoKoto

True, plus Gon was always super-into those NPC stories lol, at least compared to Killua

Maniez Cyril

it's more like he "disabled" the bomb basically but he had to keep the monster. By catching the bomber, the nen beast is no longer needed.

Maniez Cyril

and by the way, why are you so surprised that gon had so many answers right? his sole purpose was to enjoy the whole game, he didn't cheat, he did everything himself and liked the adventure, he was set up to be the winner of the quiz by ging almost.

Master Oogway

gon won cuz he was too into the npc while killua didn't care about them and other people spent more time stealing the card rather then collecting them.
