God I always love Zeppile's character analysis of Gon. A rare explicit portrayal of the potential negative aspects of Gon's overly simplistic method of approaching the world

Most people probably skip this episode on their rewatch because its just a chill episode where "nothing much" happened, but what Zeppile said about Gon was very important. It's the author describing explicitly how Gon is. It also highlights that other people can use nen too without realizing it which I love. The Ben's knife was also cool because it foreshadowed Chrollo's weapon.

i dont consider them "negatives" though. They are incredible characteristics. For example him saying that Gon did not give him an accusatory glance when he admitted to making forgeries and instead was just very curious ... that is absolutley NOT a "bad" characteristics I'm sorry. I know you are referring to Pitou etc, and even then I don't agree that Gon is some monster as hxh fans like to say. He is just an incredibly kind and innocent CHILD.

The reason why Gon is dangerous is not necessarily because of his innocence and curiosity ( being a child ). The reason why Gon is so dangerous is because he is a child with incredible powers, and the anime showed us that someone like Gon who holds such power can be a dangerous being.
