Damn this was bittersweet, 26 flawless episodes and this last episode sealed the deal for this as top anime of 2019! This guy Muzan is one of the most terrifying anime villains ever!

Yeah this movie is about to be raw. The only downside is we are going to be waiting a while. Fortunately because of how popular this got I'm hoping there are plenty of screenings in the US so we don't have to wait for a DVD/BR release date. Anime movies take a shit ton of time to go to DVD/BR so if we have to rely on that we might not see this movie for another 2 years.

They have not, but the common speculation has been for mid-late 2020 at the earliest. And I agree with that because Ufotable has also been putting a lot of work into the Fate Stay Night HF movies. So if it releases mid-late 2020 and we have to wait for a DVD/BR that's another ~8 month wait on top of that because it takes forever for anime movies to go to DVD/BR. Which is why I'm hoping we get a lot of screenings over here.

The movie's arc is canon. So yeah, you'll want to watch it to understand what's going on.

I think they are doing a movie for the following reason that the next Arc has already started in the Manga (Chapter 54 starts it with the 3 arriving at the train station and getting on the train) after that they meet Rengoku on the train itself where the film will starts. Then it goes on to Chapter 69. The next major Arc after that begins at Chapter 70 and goes to Chapter 97. So it would only be 7, maybe 8 Episodes in total if they used the Infinity Train Arc in a Season 2, while the Chapter after that has 27 Chapter alone ( That is half what they used for Season 1) and they would end a Season 2 then with 22 Episodes Max. or they needed to pack Fillers in it, and i think no one likes that Idea ^^

had to rewatch yalls reaction to get prepped for the movie since its out seriously don't know how this show wasn't a perfect gateway for all of you to start the Fate Franchise I mean IMO some of the Fate series are animated way better than Demon Slayer was. Demon slayers animation wasn't that crazy or interesting to me because I'm used to Ufotables work so figured it woulda struck your interest to see their other work.

I've watched a little of the Fate series, great moments through out but overall too it ends up feeling too slow/weighed down for me to stay interested in it. I mean it has 9 seasons, 2 ovas and 7 movies worth of content without including the spinoffs and extras. Feels pretentious to put it this way but to me each of the seasons I got into felt like they and good animation but a okayish story

Well, in terms of plot the lower 6 had no relevance anymore. After the training the main cast went through, none of them would have stood a chance. Basically they'd be taken care of as quickly as any other regular demon if they were to encounter them. And as such, they were gotten rid of. Though personally I think they kinda lacked relevance to the plot in the first place. The main characters only encountered 1 of them before they were made irrelevant.
