no the w for mun when she legit manipulated the whole situation what 😂 like she knows Gangtae wont leave Sangtae which is why she made it a rule for them to live with her in the first place in order for him to be her illustrator like that is not a w at all she caused the whole fight. she just wanted to get her way to force them in the house one way or another.

While get that I would still disagree. Everyone here is flawed and has some bad character traits. Ko did force them to stay but at the same time give Sang-tae something he dreamed of doing. So while selfish, Ko was being more than fair. Gang-tae is being overprotective given that's all he ever been rewarded in doing. Which is why he is trying too hard not to let anyone in. Which after seeing how good of a deal the contact was, he felt bad in jumping the gun. The mom understands this is good for Sang-tea to gain some independence and gang-tae to loosen up. It just sucks it hurts her daughters chances.

Yeah, I was surprised by that reaction from roshi as from my impression of these shows, rice is just a cornerstone for most meals. You cook up some side dishes and serve with a pot of rice. The closest thing i can think of for Americans meals, would be how bread use to be such a staple for every meal.

with the question of “do you eat rice for breakfast, or bread?” It kinda means like “do you eat traditional food for breakfast, or do you eat a western style breakfast?” Rice is their staple food much like bread is ours. Traditionally, in countries like Korea, they’ll have rice and a few side dishes (or a bunch depending on the meal). Most commonly I think soup, kimchi, and like fish. And the carbs are actually not as bad as you might think. I feel like it’s a pretty balanced meal overall.

ah the sleep paralysis scene breaks me😕 actually, when she was telling Gang-tae to “run, leave”, it was more because she was scared of “what her mom would do to him”. While experiencing sleep paralysis, she said she would “kill her prince”. She may or may not have actually said that irl. Could just be a manifestation of the fear Munyeong had of her mother. She was over-controlling of her daughter and Munyeong couldn’t disobey her.

The item she used to 'fish' him out was a chunk of styrofoam. A lot of people leave their fishing stuff or 'trash' by the river for others to use. Chances are that was used as a seat for people to sit on or for kids during the summer to float on.

As an older brother to a younger brother this show hits hard for me. it’s not the same situation where one of us takes all the care for the other but the bond as a whole is irreplaceable. Nothing can describe how it feels to want to support them no matter what even if it hinders yourself

Not only Koreans but majority of all Asian. It’s common in our house hold from generation to generation. lol we eat rice with everything. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s not just a lil rice too, we be eating Hellllllla rice. Rice goes with everything. While being raised in America, we have access to different foods so we switch it up every now and then but we aren’t satisfied unless we have rice at least once a day. I’ve been tryna gain weight all my life and those carbs in rice haven’t done anything for me. Some say I’m lucky but it’s a blessing and curse. When I’ve been skinny all my life, Ive been wanting to put on some pounds so I can have some type of curves, tired of looking like a stick. lol.
