Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

You can submit your ideas on Discord, too! Come join us in the #patron-item-workshop channel!

You may recognize some returning item suggestions! Items can be renominated and re-drawn for weekly polls following a week-long cooldown.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1)  H'rethi Desperation  — A glass greatsword made from durable H'rethi glass. You have resistance to fire damage, ignore difficult terrain created by sand, and deal extra fire damage when you hit a creature with it. While you are exhausted, the weapon ignores resistance to fire damage and you gain a bonus to attack and damage equal to the level of exhaustion. You can make a special attack that deals fire damage and the target suffers 1 level of exhaustion.

2)  Solacesteel Preserver  — A necklace for a cleric or paladin made from a shattered mourningsteel weapon, strung on a braided silver chain. It acts as a holy symbol, prevents you from being frightened, and has charges that can be used to cast healing and charming spells. Your charms are effective even when targeting a creature you are fighting, as are your healing spells for fallen creatures at the cost of you taking necrotic damage.

3)  Time Warden's Helm  — This gold and cobalt helmet features a stylized clock over the visor and it can glimpse into the near future. When activated, you can't be surprised, and you have advantage on physical ability checks and saving throws at the risk of becoming exhausted.

4)  Frostcoin  — This coin looks like standard silver piece covered in frost and powered snow. You have resistance to cold damage while the coin is on your person. Additionally, you can drop the coin into a pint of liquid to chill it. A creature who drinks the liquid gains resistance to cold damage until the next dawn.

5)  Dune Armor  — This armor is fashioned to look like a vest and includes wicking materials to withstand hot temperatures. You gain a bonus to your AC and you have advantage on initiative rolls while holding a weapon. You can use the armor to make a special attack, creating a column of ammunition that rains down on an area dealing damage. While attuned to other "dune" items you can gain additional abilities for a short duration.

6)  Life's Edge  — This greatsword has a deep channel running down the center connected to a sphere of light at the base that grows or shrinks based on the amount in your Lay of Hands pool. You gain a bonus to attack and damage rolls. You can expend 60 points from your Lay on Hands pool to cast a modified version of the guardian of faith spell. Additionally, you can expend charges when you slay a creature to restore points to your Lay on Hands pool and to reduce the healing received by another creature.

7)  Pursuer's Spear  — This ancient bone spear is worn from hours of marching on hunts. You can use stealth even while traveling at a normal pace. When you hit a creature with it, you can mark them. You have advantage on Wisdom (Survival) checks to track the marked creature and to resist exhaustion from a forced march.

Thanks to everyone who submitted item ideas and voted for them this week!

Keep on adventuring!

Dune Armor and Life's Edge for me

That and Dune Armor would be amazing. My players are currently in a desert.
