Hey folks! I'm super excited to share this delightful card game from my dear friends at Mage Hand Press. I've played this game for over a year with these folks, and it is truly one of my favorites to share with people. You, of course, included!

In this game, you play witches competing to make the tallest, most enchanted cake possible to deliver upon an unsuspecting wedding reception.

Witchy Cakes is an adorable and savagely competitive card game that anyone can learn in under five minutes (we’ve timed it). Throw cakes at your friends and build an occult culinary masterpiece in the most colorful card game of 2023!

How to Play

Build the tallest tower of cake!

On Your Turn:

• Play a Card. Make the color or pattern of a cake card from your hand to stack up a tower of cake.
• Throw a Card. Match the colors of three cake cards on someone else’s cake to throw a card and knock them all off!
• OR Draw a Card. If you’re stuck, draw a card. When your hand is empty, draw back to five cards and draw a new Secret Ingredient.

At Any Time:

• Play a Secret Ingredient. These special cards give you an edge and meddle with other players’ cakes.
• Make a Recipe. Match the colors of three cards on your cake to get a special high-value card for your cake!

The Game Ends When the Bell Rings Thrice!

• Three Bell cards are hidden in the deck. When all three are revealed, the game ends! You win if you have the tallest cake!

And that’s it! You’re ready to play Witchy Cakes!
