A symbol of an artisan's tool is emblazoned at the top of this golden signet. While wearing the ring, you gain a +2 bonus to any check you make with a set of artisan's tools. Furthermore, you can add half your proficiency bonus to any check you make to use a set of artisan's tools with which you aren't proficient. When you do, the symbol on the ring changes to match the associated tool.

"Many years ago, when I first started, I could hardly operate even the billows. My instructor, no master he was, assured me of confidence nevertheless: 'even a master makes mistakes,' he would say.

"With every error I made, I saw a faint glimmer in his eye. With but a twist of his ring, he would adjust my mistake into a success. He'd simply wink at me and say, 'Tis the journeyman that's sent to fix another's mistakes.'

"So now, my young apprentice, I pass unto you the skill to be the fix to another's error."
