Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1) Dune Armor — This armor is fashioned to look like a vest and includes wicking materials to withstand hot temperatures. You gain a bonus to your AC and you have advantage on initiative rolls while holding a weapon. You can use the armor to make a special attack, creating a column of ammunition that rains down on an area dealing damage. While attuned to other "dune" items you can gain additional abilities for a short duration.

2) Photorecepticle Scope — A hollow scope that allows you to accurately visualize an the area of your line and cone spells. You can expend the item's charges to modify the length of a spell's area of effect—widening a line or lengthening a cone.

3) Verdant Fleshweave — Armor made from dry, frail plates of leaves that, when attuned, take root in your skin. You gain a bonus to your AC, can sleep in this armor without penalty, and can ignore difficult terrain cause by nonmagical plants. Additionally, you can expend the armors charges to cast various spells. Sleeping in the armor causes the roots to grow deeper and change the armor from medium to heavy armor.

4) Remembrance Pauldron — An old pauldron made from mourningsteel, with a tattered, short cape attached. You can ignore difficult terrain and pass through objects. Additionally, you can expend charges to use various actions such as: casting the spiritual weapon spell with changes, making a retaliatory strike against a creature, or summoning a spectral weapon to your hand that gives you advantage on subsequent attacks.

5) Amulet of Hallowed Archetypes — A heavy locket that is empty when found. Attuning to it involves placing an item inside that represents your oath or deity and grants you various benefits such as: increasing your spellcasting stat, an additional Channel Divinity use, and a bonus to Intimidation, Persuasion, and Insight checks.

6) Scroll of the True Self — A scroll to make your outer appearance match your inner one. You can use the scroll to cast the alter self spell using the Change Appearance option. When the spell ends the appearance becomes permanent.

7) Whenin Roamers — This pair of footwear adapt to match the aesthetic of the location you are in after spending a certain amount of time there. Additionally, you have advantage on Persuasion and Performance checks with people you spend enough time with.
