New Look Teaser + Charging Up Front?! (Patreon)

Kasadya has her grip on me: I've recently started charging new patrons up front. All my releases are still free and available on the Hub, and this may be a mistake, but let me tell you why I've done this.
Nah, let me show you.

These are all people who have canceled their subs recently, notice that almost all of them are same-day:

... and so on, from the very beginning, but it's ramped up majorly lately.

So, three things:: 

1. I try to do special stuff for my Patrons, not JUST using Patron-only posts to hide NSFW content. The sheer volume of "peekers" at the Patron-only content has me feeling taken advantage of. In a bad way.
My finished releases are still free on the Hub, and my screenshots and videos are there too, on Reddit, Twitter, etc. On the ol' pirate zone, too, rofl - guys, please don't risk malware for content that's free. I get it. I used to pirate EVERYTHING. But it's just dumb now. 

Again, releases are all still free, but now only Patrons get WIPs, easy access to me (well actually, everyone on Discord does), requests, etc. You guys ARE special, and should GET something special!

2. I choose to believe - though I could be completely wrong - that at least some of these folks actually like my content and want to support me, expected to be charged up front, and think they're leaving me a tip by joining briefly.
Is that a ridiculous belief? Probably. 

3. I get an email every time a subscriber joins. It's awesome news. I get excited. I go check my page to drop them a personal hello, and they are... gone. THEN WHY DID YOU PICK THE ANGEL TIER? Just to get my jimmies extra-rustled?!
Yeah, I've gotten numb to it, so it's only "moderately soul-crushing" by now. 

Anyway. Let me know in the comments what you think of this decision. If it makes me a terrible person then I'd like to know that.
