another perfect reaction! like always, you miss almost nothing and are on point with every facet of the story and characters. im so glad you recognized, like armin, that its out of character for eren to go with zeke's plan. reiner is such a tortured soul, his only reason for living is to save others at this point. he feels like he cant do anything to atone for his sins, and he sees that eren is the same, theyre being pushed into conflict bc of duties to their loved ones.

2 years later I'm still obsessed with this episode's direction. scrolling images of corpses, blood, dozens of bullets falling like rain as Magath gives a speech about saving the world. Those last few shots of war at its most gruesome, people being stangled and stabbed as Eren just screams, Reiner begging him to stop fighting. Immaculate tone-setter for the final half of the final season.

Kiss is the first person I ssee pointing out how cool the scene with pieck is, where she is equipping herself with the weapons while she is talking to the others, I always thought thats a nice added thing!
