Luke and Daredevil were well trained in their abilities. Danny is a well trained fighter but has had very little training with his ability. He doesn’t use it all the time because he doesn’t know how to. They explained in an earlier episode that pain is what triggers his ability. He has to take a beating for a while to access it. That should change as he learns.

Yeah, the show is definitely more slow paced than the other shows in this universe and even the action scenes are pretty underwhelming. The reason for that though, is the actor that plays Danny didn't put the time into training and doing the martial arts. He thought he could get by doing the bare minimum and put most of his focus on the actual acting. So, even though he is supposed to be this martial arts master, he looks pretty much like a joke compared to anyone he's fighting, as well as his allies, like Coleen. That's also why the fight scenes are really short, lack intensity and are over seemingly by just one blow. The other thing is, this season was put out in a rush so that it was in time before the Defenders premiere. So, not as much time, planning and care was put into how it came out, because they knew that very soon after, people would still want to see the big team up.
