I've been working on this for a few months, but I've kept largely under wraps. Around January, Rachel over at takethis.org contacted me. Apparently, they appreciated the work I did on my first video discussing mental illness, and we decided to work towards a video on representation specifically in the video game medium.

The video discusses Hellblade, Celeste, Firewatch, Amnesia, Life is Strange, and many more games — their flaws, their challenges, and the problem of agency, a force that pervades and defines the video game medium.

Which game has resonated with you the most personally? Let me know either down below or on the Discord (will be more likely to reply there as Patreon isn't fantastic at notifying me).

Resources are in the video description, as well as a full list of sources. Stay safe, and stay nerdy.

I really enjoyed it until Life Is Strange, where I realized this will be a deep dive and I should play the game first :/ As with the God of War one, I'll come back to it once I played the game!
