Wu and Garmadon are really, really old. Remember Sensei always used to say "long before time had a name Ninjago I was founded by the first spinjitsu master" or something like that. The wiki says they're thousands of years old. Kind of surprising it took so long for Garmadon to actually turn evil since Lloyd couldn't have been older than 12 before he aged up. Also crazy that's his only kid. This is also a show for 12-year-olds, so the logic probably isn't that deep.
