Construction Bear shows interest as subtly as possible given there are others around and they are in a formal meeting,

Business Boss Brat acts out again TWICE before the end of the meeting, but misses the subtle hint that the Construction Bear gave,

And then Construction Bear gets a visit after hours in the construction office trailer by Business Boss Brat who wants to GET THE POINT ACROSS.

-He starts out talking very fast, then he slows down–it’s like he was startled, then he starts actually looking at & listening to who’s in front of him. It says something that he doesn’t flip it into customer service voice. It says we’re onto something. -The tone on “it seems to me,” is wonderful. The acknowledgement, the frustration, is showing where we are and where we’re going. It goes along with “tell sir.” -I don’t know if “show me what you’re working with” was meant to create a Mystikal earworm, but it did. -”at least ten times…” Well, one had to make sure the message was felt/received. -We’re getting more cause & effect here. What the Brat did (“at least ten times,”), that it was effective (“how insane you drove me,” “until I can’t resist anymore,”) and her implied reactions (to things like “hungry little brat”) makes this feel more rounded and full. -”You were intoxicating to begin with…now you’re a real problem…yeah but you’re a problem I’m gonna be able to figure out,” is such a wonderful setup. We know where this goes, but that’s plenty intriguing if you don’t. So is the big growly tone change of “here.” -As for being “not the only brat here,” I’m just going to sigh and say what I always say. The goal of the brat is to provoke; it can be done from either side.
