Here's the next part of what could have happened to Felix/Fiona before I revised the story.

A major part of the reason I abandoned this version of the story-line is that it got to the big moment too quick and then skipped over it.

So while in my current outline this milestone is now much further away, Felix is going to have much more agency in getting there, and a few additional stepping stones on the way.

So one thing that was lost in the final version was Jess having a chance to take over some control of Fiona's avatar.
And here's another instance of having two separate streams of dialogue making things confusing.
I didn't like this version of Jess and how she forces Felix into the situation he's about to find himself in.
I may or may not reuse parts of this conversation later in the comic.
Not sure if I'll keep this explanation of how the Dreamband works. I also cut this part too short too early.
Part of the reason I did those ponytail sketches of Jess a few weeks back was because I decided I didn't like this haircut.
This was "telling" not "showing". When Fiona finally does it with a guy, I want there to be more build up and more focus on the moment.

I do like how Jess is the one initiating while controlling Felix, feels like that's the push he needs to try what he's so curious about deep down.

This was a fun bit - I do agree with your comments on the last panel - this was like throwing someone in a pool to teach them to swim, and they are so intent on getting to a safe spot that they don't even think about trying to swim, it's pure panic mode. When Fiona hooked up with the shape shifter tom wolf guy, it was a lot more her initiative and she had the chance to enjoy the experience.
