We drove up the mountain pretty early in the morning (thankfully since on the way down we saw that snow-chain checkpoint had been set up for people trying to go up, and I hadn't remember to put my chains in my Subaru), and show in two locations that we found right of the road - if passerbys had the wherewithal to watch the forest closely, maybe they could have gotten a nice surprise to add to their day of playing in the snow. First we shot in the forest, and then we found a nice lookout to shoot. We shot as quickly as we could, but with two photographers, Pulp still had to spend quite a long time unprotected in the freezing weather.
