Well well well, the turret is chipped!

And yes, each chip is individually painted, no sponge or anything.

Gotta say I like this steel color. The model won't even need that many enamel rust tones, mostly just around the largest chips.

The dark steel chipping is always more rewarding, but also takes longer than the superficial layer. Oh well, but that's nothing new.

The only place I'm not happy with is the top of the gun sleeve. It's the result of the initial HS chipping which served as a guide (not very good guide in this case) for the remaining chips. But I'm gonna leave it as it is...

Anyway, have a great weekend my friends!

Looks awsome man! The unusual color scheme is really great. So ... now I should finally continue my StuG. Your videos are an absolute help!

crazy fine chipping! I need to continue practicing! 🤦🏻‍♂️

To be fully honest, I'd rather be painting a "traditional" color scheme! 😄 This one makes it all more difficult and you end up doubting if the result will be worth it... but, my faith is strong!

Vallejo paints are the best! And then it's about practice and more practice. I'm actually having a hard time on this one, I'm using dark rust from Panzer Aces and that paint is just weird... it keeps separating from water when I thin it down and it needs to be stirred every 5 minutes or so 😐
