Bernadette closed her eyes and felt Aaron’s warm lips against her lips. By the time she opened them, he was already across the kitchen looking through cupboards. “You’re fine with anything, yes?” he asked with his French accent.

She smiled when he smiled at her. He was only with her for her money, but Bernadette didn't care. She spent years worrying about money, and after Leilah offered five million dollars to make the body swap permanent, that worry was no longer an issue. The deal also came with a portfolio that gave her guaranteed dividends of $100,000 every year, so even if she lived frugally, she could make it last.
