I was on holiday this week! Only a short one, five days to get away from the city. I saw some gorgeous things and, as always, I planned to draw way more than I actually did. But there was a lot of walking and staring at gorgeous mountains and lakes (and mountain lakes). I took a lot of pics so there are things that I still want to paint, for example the waterfall near Hallstatt was beautiful but the sun was so bright that after three minutes of staring at the white paper my eyes started to burn and water.
Usually I sketch more characters or flowers but I was so spent after most days that my brain was all out of creative juices. Which is not a bad thing, because that way I was also too spent to think about bad things!
I added some descriptions on what I painted in the pics themselves.

I hope your week was nice and that you'll be able to enjoy your weekend,
<3 Sarah

A close-up of the painting. Painted with my handmade gouache palette and a white POSCA marker.
Left is the view of my hotel room in Graz, with some church (I'm so bad at remembering names) and the Grazer Clocktower in the back.
Some the Witcher inspired sketching shenanigans.
In Obertraun we had a lovely room with a view of this little house. When we arrived it was cloudy so the Instax pic looks super gloomy.
A close-up of the painting. Painted with my handmade gouache palette and a white POSCA marker.
More the Witcher inspired shenanigans and a buttercup I picked on a mountain hike.
A pic and drawing from Wolfgangsee. I tried to keep it super sketchy.
