Where Is My Mind? - Ukulele Tutorial - How To Play Ukulele Songs w/Tabs Play-A-Long

Where is my mind? Grab your Ukulele and get ready to learn another song with TenThumbs Productions. This time we are doing the indie rock classic, Where Is My Mind? by the Pixies. A lot of people know this song from the end of Fight Club when the buildings are exploding and Edward Norton is sitting there with half of his face blown off. The song has a couple of really cool elements that you can cherry pick for your own playing if you want. One of them is a chromatic movement from the G# major to the A (Same thing as in the Weezer Song Say It Ain't So, they are really similar jams in a lot of ways) the other cool element is the move from the A major to the A minor. Thank the Beatles and David Bowie for making that move really popular. You can go down from the Major Chord to the Minor chord on the IV chord, but this usually happens when moving to the I chord, in this song they do it moving to the relative minor which is really interesting. Awesome intro riff that sounds great with some reverb and distortion as well that we will teach you fully tabbed out. Hope you enjoy it make sure to subscribe and give it a thumbs up if it helped you. Tenthumbspro.com we do new songs every Wednesday and every Saturday, we also have a ton of other cool videos on strumming technique, ukulele blues, music theory, slide ukulele and all other kinds of cool stuff for you to get down with.
