This was a random discussion I had with a friend who suggested a "deer" for a tf subject. And as I don't..... think I've ever done one before, I thought it would be a fun challenge! And I went with a bit of a "darker" theme, but it is also a bit of a classic? But one I've certainly never done before myself. All the way back from Pinocchio and such, I have enjoyed tf as a punishment, and this theme I've never properly touched with the hunter possession/transformation as a punishment. it was pretty fun to play with the "spirit" style and shape especially. And doing shedding velvet felt like the most "correct" way to grow antlers to my brain. just sort of like a "accelerated" normal growth cycle of the antlers. But yes, was an interesting and fun challenge, and something new!

Kudos to you for knowing about velvet and the way it sheds! Hmm... This may be a punishment, or at least poetic justice, but he doesn't seem to find the process all THAT unpleasant. Then again, hunting season usually coincides with the rut, so he's probably having that imposed on him as well. ;-) By the way, great job on the details of this piece and on the way you handled the deer spirit. Sort of somewhere between fire and fog in the way it turned out.
